I graduated from design school in May, I've since moved to New York City, it's great, was born here, but I haven't lived here since I was about 3 or 4. The first couple of months were tough, it's hard to find a job around here, especially a decent graphic design gig. But thankfully I've found one, haven't started yet but I'm hoping it'll help me make something of myself.
Been somewhat of a crazy summer, lots of little suprises, some good, some bad. But overall I've enjoyed it. Life is very different away from Chavón, quiet, surreal village with 120 other people, vs. massive metropolis swarming with 8.3 Million others.
I recently had my Nikon D80 stolen (along with my iPod and PSP)so I haven't been able to keep up with my photography, probably the most unfortunate thing that has ever happened to me, but there's not much I could do I guess, I'm working on replacing my camera as soon as possible, looking into getting a D90. I'm really hoping I'm able to buy one within the year, It's a pain walking around NYC without a camera, this place is a photographers gold mine.
I'll be posting some new work in the next couple days, old graphic design Projects from school.
How are all of you?
