Serious gallery clean-up

Sun Nov 18, 2007, 11:48 AM
Been thinking that I have to clean up my gallery for a while. Well i finally got around to it. Got rid of 150+ deviations that just got plain annoying to see in hopes that I'll have a little more coherence in the quality of my work.

  • Listening to: Portishead
  • Watching: A Clockwork Orange
  • Playing: halo 3

 That's EXACTLY why I wanted to clean up. LOL When a person becomes embarrassed of their own art, it must be pretty bad. Although, most of my friends are complaining about my cleanup...and telling me that the things I deleted, etc., were really good. I have the same thoughts about your stuff... :) I think we are always harder on ourselves, for some reason.

haha yeah, i think it happens to everyone, one you start learning more you start to become a lot more critical of yourself. And i've always been pretty critical of my work, so i think thats why i might have exxagerated in how much i deleted haha, but i like my gallery much more now. :)

I think, even in the positive aspects of art (enjoyment) and in other areas of life in general, what we think about ourselves and our art, and how we feel about it, is what is most important anyway. It's about us, and our personal expressions. As long as we are happy with ourselves, and while we WANT other people to enjoy our work and help us get better at it, our own opinions should never be completely overlooked. :D
